This shows how computer chips are made from silicon crystal, to wafer to chips. www.youtube.com is worth watching too. There used to be an episode of National Geographic documentary named “Naked Science” on youtube. It was about using synthetic diamond crystal in place of silicon as the chip substrate. Since diamond crystal can tolerate higher heat, a CPU can be over-clocked without the worry of a melt-down. If you like this video, you should also look up diamond based computer chips.
www.edpvideo.com Effective Digital Presentations produced this incredible 3D animation to show how a coal fueled power plant produces electricity. This 10 minute tutorial video was produced specifically for FirstEnergy Corp. This is a fully 3D animated video.
they are out of high tech chips…

You are right. Germ free and dust free are quite different. Dust can be filtered easily compared to Germ because they are much larger. But Germs can be killed by chemicals though their dead bodies can still be around unseen.

Cleaner than a hospital operation room, but operating rooms are sterile, not clean. Fabs are not sterile. Apples/oranges.

I guess they probably used some stock footage instead of showing you the top secret project at the time. Up on the horizon is Silicon ReRAM chip that is built on Silicon oxide and can run 100 times faster. Innovation never ends.

Well this is a lot older than the post date of 2008 as they are making the UltraSparc III which is pretty old now

computer chips or solar wafers essentially no real difference just size and complexity of wires and one has trillions of microdevices on it. however the basic substrate is the same and not complex to make. solar panels should not be expensive if this is all it takes to make them. 4 step process.

3 years ago, Im pretty sure there was the option to upload high def videos. Its just that most people on youtube, for whatever reason, only use potatoes and calculators to record videos with. Iv been uploading 480p videos on youtube since 2007. So for my videos, 240p never existed

All you green energy people, you are living a pipe dream. The EPA is a huge burden on the USA. Does China and India have an EPA? Not like we do.

Condensing the steam after the turbine reduces back pressure on the turbine to below atmosphere. This helps efficiency by extracting all the energy left in the exhaust steam.

Great video. But wouldn’t it be more efficient to create electricity from coal using stirling engines?

I really did not appreciate how you played down the fact that coal is the dirtiest fuel polluting our air. Coal power plants may have numerous “environmental protections”, but that does not change the fact that coal combustion plays a huge role in climate change and pollution levels.
